Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the Greenwich Trio in Canada
On 26th September 2025, the Greenwich Trio (Yoko Misumi, Heather Tuach and myself) joined the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra for a performance of one of my favourite works, Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, at the Arts and Culture Centre in St John’s, under the baton of Julien Proulx. Bringing together the intimacy of chamber music and the grandeur of the symphonic stage, this extraordinary piece offers a unique dialogue between the three soloists and orchestra — something that makes it endlessly rewarding to perform.
Presenting this masterpiece in Newfoundland, the home province of my cellist colleague Heather Tuach, gave the occasion an especially personal meaning.
